Well, it's not today...it was in June. So much has been going on that I wanted to take a few posts to remember fun things that have happened this summer.
One being....Ty's 10th Birthday!!!
Ty wanted a pool party, so that is what we did! Being that his birthday is June 21st, he's never been able to invite friends from school. This year, we had his party early, while school was still in, so that he could invite friends and there was a better chance that they would come.
On Ty's REAL birthday, he wanted breakfast in bed! =)
Ty wanted an egg and cheese sandwich! He's my breakfast man! He's a great cook, too!
We saved our gifts to Ty for his actual birthday...this way, the real day seemed special, too.
Ty was so sweet and really took time opening each gift. He didn't rush through them like he used to. It was precious to watch.
Later, we went to the Army Navy store. Ty wanted to spend a gift certificate that he was given for his birthday. He bought the back pack and belt. (Daddy gave him extra handcuffs...lol)
And yes, HE insisted on wearing his camo PANTS in this crazy heat!!
(soon thereafter, I went and bought him camo SHORTS!!)
My niece, Callie, came over for a little while and the kids (and I) enjoyed the pool.
That evening, we ate at Kobe's Japanese Steakhouse.
And of course had a little more cake to celebrate!
Ty is such a gift to me. I can't believe that I've been a mom now for 10 years!! Ty is so smart and continues to impress us with things that he learns...his memory is incredible!! Ty's had an increased desire to learn more about the Lord and received a "teen" bible from us for his birthday. We look forward to the young man that Ty will become and we pray that he will grow in Him.
Ty, you are such a blessing to all of us. A gift that was received at the perfect time.
We love you so very much.
"Every good and perfect gift is from above..."
James 1:17
